Testimonies
Here are some
reviews about our rentals:
"Everyone
at this local bike store is terrific. They have mountain, hybrid & road
bikes in solid shape and they take care to fit you correctly & make
sure you have what you need. The bikes come with complete "fix
it" kits (not all stores do this) & they gave us several
ride recommendations. But more importantly---we had a really
bad initial experience coming into Taos (problems with accomodations) & Sherry
at Gearing Up went out of her way to try to find us alternative
places to stay & being generally sympathetic & helpful.
She really helped turn around our impressions of Taos & we
ended up having a wonderful time & would return. So for a
good time---go to Gearing Up & have fun cycling in & around
Taos."

"Our
family --three adults and three kids--stopped here to rent
bikes for
a couple of hours. We arrived (we had made a reservation a few
days prior), all of our bikes were ready and nearly perfectly
adjusted for our sizes (we had given our heights to them over
the phone). What makes Gearing Up such a great place was its
fairness in dealing with our situation. They didn't charge us
for the bike we had reserved for our son's grandmother (that
she used for about 10 minutes) and they only charged us for two
hours use of the bikes instead of the half-day rate. We didn't
have to ask them to do this; they just did that on their own
volition. The staff at Gearing Up is second to none, and if we
ever biked again in the Taos area, we'd be back for sure."
